At Vybe, we are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you access our platform, application, or services.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect the information strictly necessary to provide our campus dining services:
- Account Information: Your full name, institutional email address (e.g.,
@caias.in), and WhatsApp phone number provided during registration. - Transaction Data: Details about the orders you place, the stalls you interact with, wallet top-up history, and order timestamps.
- Device & Usage Data: Technical information such as your device type, IP address, and interaction metrics with our platform to ensure system security and optimize performance.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is utilized primarily to ensure a seamless ordering experience:
- To create, authenticate, and secure your Vybe account using OTP verifications.
- To process your food orders and facilitate digital wallet/UPI payments.
- To send automated order status updates, digital invoices, and alerts via WhatsApp.
- To generate anonymized, aggregated analytics for the institution and stall vendors to improve cafeteria efficiency.
3. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share specific data under the following conditions:
- Stall Vendors: Vendors receive your name and order details to prepare and hand over your food. They do not receive your phone number or payment credentials.
- Payment Processors: We use Cashfree to process online payments securely. When making a transaction via UPI/Cards, necessary payment details are transmitted directly to Cashfree. Vybe does not store your banking details, UPI PINs, or card numbers.
- Communication APIs: We utilize third-party APIs (such as Evolution API) strictly to deliver WhatsApp transactional messages and OTPs to your registered number.
4. Data Security
We implement robust, industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Our platform is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure), and all sensitive data exchanges between your device and our servers are encrypted using standard cryptographic protocols. However, please be aware that no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. You have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated data by contacting our support team. Upon deletion, transactional ledgers may be retained in an anonymized format for accounting purposes.
6. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page or by sending a direct notification to your registered email or WhatsApp number.
