Welcome to Vybe. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Vybe platform, accessible via our web application and progressive web app (PWA), operated by Vybe Technologies ("we," "us," or "our"). By registering, accessing, or using the Vybe platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Account Registration & Security
To use Vybe's ordering services, you must register for an account using a valid institutional email address (e.g., @caias.in) and an active WhatsApp number.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and OTPs.
- Accounts are strictly non-transferable. You may not share your account or order QR codes with individuals outside the institution.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
2. Food Ordering & Fulfillment
Vybe acts solely as a technology intermediary facilitating transactions between users (students/staff) and independent food vendors (stalls) operating within your campus.
- Order Handover: Orders are fulfilled only upon presenting the valid, auto-generated QR code at the service counter.
- Quality & Liability: We do not prepare, handle, or package food. Any issues regarding food quality, allergies, or hygiene must be directed to the respective stall vendor. Vybe is not liable for any illness, allergy, or dissatisfaction arising from the food provided.
3. Order Cancellations & Cut-offs
Due to the fast-paced nature of campus cafeterias, cancellation policies are strictly enforced by the system:
- Immediate Orders: Can only be cancelled within 5 minutes of placing the order, provided the vendor has not already marked it as "Preparing" or "Ready."
- Scheduled Break 1 Orders: Must be cancelled before 10:00 AM on the day of pickup.
- Scheduled Break 2 Orders: Must be cancelled before 12:30 PM on the day of pickup.
- Once an order surpasses its cancellation window or is marked "Completed", it cannot be refunded.
4. Payments, Fees, & Vybe Wallet
Vybe provides two primary methods of payment: the closed-loop Vybe Wallet and direct Online Payment via Cashfree.
- Vybe Platform Fee: A fixed convenience fee (₹1.00) is applied to every order placed through the platform to maintain infrastructure uptime.
- Gateway Fees: Orders paid directly via UPI/Cards incur an additional 1.6% Gateway Processing Fee. This fee is charged by the payment processor and is strictly non-refundable under any circumstance.
- Vybe Wallet: Funds loaded into the Vybe Wallet do not incur gateway fees per transaction. Wallet balances are tied to your campus ID and cannot be cashed out or transferred to external bank accounts. Unused wallet balances upon graduation or departure from the institution must be claimed as physical vendor credit within 30 days.
5. Refunds
Refunds are processed automatically under specific conditions:
- If you successfully cancel an order within the permitted timeframe, the base cost of the food will be refunded instantly to your Vybe Wallet, regardless of the original payment method.
- If a vendor rejects your order or marks an item out of stock after payment, an automated refund will be initiated to your Vybe Wallet.
- Platform Convenience Fees and Gateway Processing Fees are non-refundable once a transaction is successfully captured.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, logos, source code, and design elements associated with the Vybe platform are the exclusive intellectual property of Vybe Technologies. Unauthorized scraping, copying, reverse-engineering, or reproduction of the platform is strictly prohibited.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vybe Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from platform downtime, network failures, missed break schedules, or vendor negligence. The platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.
8. Amendments
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the platform constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
